2011 Hungarian Cross-Country Rally Championship is to start soon with Aqua-Palace Cup in Hajdúszoboszló on 8-10th April. The spirit of the season kickoff coming nearer inspired Sólyom Team and its sponsors.
From 2011, Sólyom Team is committed to environmental protection and reduction of the burden on our environment. To achieve this, the team initiated the Green Team project which means that with their behaviour and attention, the team members reduce the harmful effects on the environment to the minimum.
First of all, Sólyom Team wants to reduce the damages caused by leaving the official track so Olivér Sólyom and Mátyás Galbács will give special attention to follow the roadbook as precisely as possible, omitting cut-offs and shortenings, irrespective of the penalties, and fully support the environmental protection efforts of the rally organisers.
During the repairs in the service park the team gives special attention to the collection, storing and destruction of the hazardous waste (oil, fuel, mud, other waste). Besides they pay attention to labour safety measures and rules of fire protection, not only in the interest of the team but also for the spectators and fans.
At the same time and in connection with the project, Sólyom Team MSE offers the Cross-Country Rally Committee of MNASZ (Hungarian ASN) the GREEN EVENT prize, which can be awarded to the cross-country rally event that realises the environmental protection efforts in the best way.
