Off-road races are traditionally considered to be male sports. Tough racing conditions, dangers and hazards luring in wait on a route, everyday life tribulations during rally-marathons – all those facts make this kind of sport to be aimed at male competitors. There are not so many women in races, but in most cases those ladies are quite strong and remarkable. So far as some of their names have been irrevocably signed in motorsports history: Jutta Kleinschmidt, Pat Moss and Michèle Mouton in rally, Lella Lombardi, Maria Teresa de Filippis in Formula-1.
In order to pay tribute to all female racers and to inspire them to take part in the event, The Silk Way Rally organizing committee has decided to offer to all female crews free accreditation for the upcoming event in July. Without any doubts female crews will grace the event with their presence, constant care and attention from the organizers and all other participants are guaranteed.
