Alcañiz Circuit MotorLand Aragón is helding for today and tomorrow the warm up of the XXVIII Baja Spain; and it is the main Headquarters for the administrative and technical scrutineering and the Super Special Stage.
Officially, it will be tomorrow when Baja 2011 will start, with the Super Special Stage of 6 kilometers. In it we would be able to see for the first time the start in the Baja of an electric car, after the start last year of some electrical bikes. That car is a Mc Rae proto4x2 ultralight, that will be driven in the next Dakar by Tim Coronel.
The start of the Super Special Stage will be from the gravel circuits in MotorLand. Access will be free for public both to the paddock and to the pelousse; and also to the different track points in the Super Special Stage.
In the morning, from 9 to 14:00 hours, it will be the scrutineering time for bikes and quads; and we would be able to see drivers such as Marc Coma, Gerard Farrés or Mario Gajón and Óscar Romero in quads. Spanish Gravel Championship vehicles will be located all day in Príncipe Felipe pavilion in Zaragoza.
Even if most of the attendance is expected for tomorrow, today there were a lot of vehicles in the paddock. Amongst them, BMW X-Raid team with Leonid Novitskiy, Filipe Campos or Bernardo Moniz da Maia; or the Spanish Femenin tándem composed by Marta Súria and Mari Ángeles Fernández.
Finally, television broadcasting will be made by Teledeporte (TVE), and will broadcast a 26 minutes program daily during the race: Friday 22nd at 01:30 hours; Saturday 23rd at 22:00 hours and Sunday 24th at 00:00 hours.
