At the Hungarian World Cup race HunGarian Baja competitors were heating up in rain for Saturday – 58.37 kilometers performed in harsh weather condition (racing through huge puddles). The mud beside the bikers also was a serious challenge for the cars as well. The „warm-up” phase, not only was good to get back into shape, but also to come forth any problems, which can be fixed in the evening service, save the competitors from next day’s trouble.
From the cars Orlando Terranova was the fastest – in front of Nasser Al-Attiyah and Krzysztof Holowczyc.
Vladimir Vasilyev, Konstantin Zhiltsov (Mini All4 Racing): „We had an extremely exciting battle, but the rain made it difficult for us. We slid back behind Nasser on the stage, but it was not a problem, and even came in handy that we can go after. We are satisfied with it.”
Orlando Terranova, Bernardo Graue (Mini All4 Racing). „I race in Hungary for the first time, I found the stage interesting, just I have found an error in the road-book.”
Nasser Al-Attiyah, Matthieu Baumel (Toyota Hilux): „We had a strong battle with the mud and and Vasilyev, too.”
Marek Dabrowski, Jacek Czachor (Toyota Hilux Overdrive): „Having problems with the windshield wiper, what made our job more difficult. For warming up, it was not bad. ”
Miroslav Zapletal, Maciej Marton (H3 Evo VII): „The mud was too big, and had to finish the stage without light”
Fazekas Károly, Horn Albert (BMW X6 RR): „Unfortunately we had a small technical problem, but we worked perfectly well together.”
Fodor Imre, Mesterházi Márk (Ford Ranger): „I am very happy because I have achieved the best results of my life. It seems we grew up to the task, because we passed three cars without mud tyres.”
