Certainly one of the biggest surprises of Friday’s prologue of Baja Poland 2014 was Tadeusz “Taddy” Blazusiak. For the five-time champion of EnduroCross and a five-time winner of the SuperEnduro series, the start in Szczecin-based event constitutes the debut behind the wheel of the cross-country vehicle. On this occasion, a 31-year-old motorcyclist, the KTM factory driver chose the Toyota Hilux maintained by the Belgian Overdrive team, supervised by the former Krzysztof Hołowczyc’s co-driver, Jean-Marc Fortin.
Błażusiak became well-known in 2007 when he won the Erzbergrodo. In the last season the popular “Taddy” started being an international enduro star winning all major events.
A few weeks ago, a driver who lives in Andorra decided to gain a new experience, which is certainly an outing in Baja Poland 2014 – the most important and prestigious event in cross-country rallying in our country. And while this year’s edition of the event is also a round of the FIM World Cup for Bajas, the motorcyclist coming from Nowy Targ decided to enter the rally in the car, and his co-driver is a Frenchman Edouard Boulanger. Toyota Hilux Overdrive crew started the rally with a high attention taking on Friday’s Szczecin superspecial high 10thplace beating many more successful and experienced rivals.
