In the past weeks some fundamental changes occurred at Sólyom Team in the circle of sponsors. But losing the main sponsor didn’t discourage the crew Olivér Sólyom – Mátyás Galbács and at the long awaited race in Nagykálló they will fight for championship points at full throttle. The team prepares eagerly for the event that promises to be the race of the year.
Olivér Sólyom: “We had to miss the previous round because already the supplementary regulations reflected the expectable irresponsible organisation, and we didn’t want troubles for ourselves. Unfortunately there are huge problems in this sport in Hungary, and now we’ve lost our main sponsor. These are very hard times for us and also for Hungarian cross-country rally. But what thrills me is that we can race in and around Nagykálló also this year. We really love chief organiser Sándor Mészáros’ crazy ideas about the layout of the track. So far he managed to surprise us every year. I think it won’t be different this year either. Moreover in Nagykálló there are crowds at the tracks each year. Not accidentally. Racing is drug and we’re the dealers! Don’t be afraid, I promise we deliver the dose.”
Sólyom Team expects everyone at the tracks and, of course, in the service park of the rally, in the yard of Korányi Frigyes Gimnázium (3 Vasvári Pál street, H-4320 Nagykálló) on 19-21 September, 2014.
