If you have an opportunity, don’t crouch at home but go to Veszprém, where the 18th edition of Santa Claus Rally takes place on Saturday and Sunday! For the weekend 6-7 December, 2014 more than 100 crews sent their entries, so those who visit the tracks near Veszprém can expect a spectacular fight.
We asked the crew of Sólyom Team about their plans for the weekend.
Olivér Sólyom: “We leave for Veszprém already on Friday. In our team it’s an old custom that we arrive at Santa Claus Rally earlier, to have time to prepare for the race. So on Friday we’ll prepare. Saturday morning we take part in the administrative checks and scrutineering, then we do the recce. In the evening, of course, we continue our preparation for the race. Sunday morning we take a huge pile of pills against hangover, then we beat the whole field. We’ve never had a bad weekend at Santa Claus Rally.”
Mátyás Galbács: “Plan is only plan. Life will shape what happens. I don’t know… Maybe we’ll even race?”
