Crew of UltimateDakar, Tomas Ourednicek and Pavel Vaculik are to start again in Poland on the first weekend of May. Baja Carpathia is third round of Central European Zone Trophy and second round of Czech Championship, and takes place in Stalowa Wola.
The crew of UltimateDakar is having a busy schedule: only one week after Duna Aszfalt Cup in Bugac, Hungary, now they are heading to Stalowa Wola, southeastern Poland, where they are to start in Baja Carpathia, third round of Central European Zone Trophy (CEZ) and second round of Czech Championship. Last year’s runner-up in CEZ series at the moment occupies the 3-4th position with 18 points after a 5th and a 6th place in the previous rounds.
„Our goal is clear: we want to improve. After Duna Aszfalt Cup we have very few time to prepare the car, but fortunately there are no major damages so our start in Baja Carpathia is not in danger. Practically we only need to check the car and make some changes on the setup. In Poland the field is always very strong, so we expect a good fight again” – the driver says.
Baja Carpathia starts on Friday, 1 May with a 6 km Superspecial, followed by a 85 km and a 70 km track on Saturday and two specials of 103 km and 62 km on Sunday. Total distance of the rally is 561 km, from which 238 km will be against the clock.
