The fifth date of the FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship keeps shaping up for the great race. The team have planned for what will be the biggest cross country rally event in South America to be taking place in Chile between Augusto 30 and September 5.
With the launch of the different teams within the organization, the Atacama Rally, valid for the fifth date of the FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship, the only appointment in Latin America and the third date of the South American Championship of the discipline CODASUR / FIM /LA, works in all details to offer an event at the highest level in sports, logistics and tourism through the most amazing landscapes of the planet in the arid Atacama Desert.
The race will start in the beautiful beach city of Viña del Mar. The city will host the administrative and technical checks and the formal start. Then, a few kilometers from the city’s heart, the competitive stage will take participants inside the Atacama Desert, a privileged location for rally raid lovers.
“We work day after day for this important date. Our teams are working in the different locations where the rally caravan will go to prepare every detail of the 2015 edition of the race. Those coming to the Atacama Rally will experience an exceptional race, mainly for the level of the routes, which makes it one of the toughest races in the world. There is lots to discovery and we are ready to welcome our participants,” stated Gerardo Fontaine, Director of the Atacama Rally.
A date of the South American Championship at the top level. For the second year in a row, the Atacama Rally I part of the South American Cross Country Rally Championship. After the first dates in Argentina and Paraguay, Chile becomes a key appointment to define the winners.
