Again it was the tripmaster that spoiled the chance of a good result for Imre Fodor and Márk Mesterházi in the Superspecial of HunGarian Baja, in the famous Red Quarry of Nyirád. Although after Euro-Tools Cup the team changed all related parts, the problem occured again, relegating the Ford Ranger crew to 14th place. Nevertheless, the differences are so small that during the two longer stages of the rally anything can happen.
“Unfortunately we had problem with the tripmaster since the last rally, and although we changed all the parts, the problem wasn’t solved. We are disappointed because our result could have been much better but practically we drove according to what we saw. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, however, we try to get the most out of this situation,” Fodor said at the finish line.
On Saturday two specials of 175 km each await the competitors of HunGarian Baja near Veszprém, on Sunday they have to complete the same track but in the opposite direction and only once.
