Tomas Ourednicek and Pavel Vaculik started the new season with a 6th place in the 11 km Superspecial of Duna Aszfalt Cup. The team of Buggyra Ultimate Dakar had only two weeks to rebuild their Hummer H3 EVO after the Dakar Rally, and the short time took its toll in the short warmup of the opening round of the FIA Central European Zone Trophy and the Hungarian Championship.
“We have new dampers in the car, but we didn’t have time for testing and setup, so today the car’s behaviour was totally different from what I am used to. We are obviously not happy with our time, but in the evening we managed to fine-tune the setup, so we hope for a much better result tomorrow” Tomas Ourednicek summarised the first day.
Saturday will be the longest stage of Duna Aszfalt Cup, with two times 109 kilometres against the clock. The event ends on Sunday with one more 109 km special.
