Crandon International Off-Road Raceway and fans alike are anxiously anticipating the arrival of veteran racer, Robby Gordon and the familiar Menards / SPEED Energy / Toyo Tires bright yellow Pro 2 and his fleet of new Stadium SUPER Trucks.
Crandon’s short course track, located in Central Wisconsin, will be hosting the Traxxas TORC Series’ Crandon Cup and the World Championship Off-Road races over this Labor Day weekend. Making his first appearance in Crandon since 2010, Gordon will be racing the yellow Menards Pro 2 Truck alongside some of the top off-road racers in the country. Teams, racers and fans will begin arriving to the track throughout the week to prepare for the exciting weekend of high-octane competition.
“I’m really looking forward to going back to Crandon. Last year we couldn’t attend due to a conflict with obligations to NASCAR and their race schedule. This year we are back and refocused our efforts along with long-time partner Menards. We are right in their backyard, and it would be awesome to bring home a win for them,” says Gordon.
Gordon will be making two appearances at Menards over the busy holiday weekend. Fans will enjoy a great opportunity to meet and greet with Gordon, autographs, sample Speed and take photographs at the following two Menards locations: Antigo Menards located at 2001 Jerome Street at 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 30 and Rhinelander Menards located at 2221 North Stevens Street on Friday August 31 at 6:30 pm. Gordon will be making autograph appearances throughout the weekend at the SPEED Energy souvenir trailer on Saturday at 6pm and Sunday morning at 10am.
