Several riders already entered when there are more than 10 days to the deadline of the first entry fee
With more than 10 days to apply to the Merzouga Rally with the first entry fee, Edo Mossi, the promoter, explains what is new about the fifth edition that will take place in Morocco from the 18th to the 24th of October 2014.
THE ROUTE
“We are studying unique itineraries for bikes, ATV and SSV and, as in the past years, we will work hard to have a very good rood book.
Regarding the route, we will continue to provide a very technical and navigated rally, that is very suitable for the professional riders, but without renouncing to the friendly atmosphere that characterizes the rally as well as to the idea of a rally suitable for everyone.
Always very attentive to the feedback of the riders, we have decided to introduce a unique formula, dividing the competitors in two categories.
TWO CATEGORIES: PRO and EXPERT with the Pro that will cover the total length of the route and the Expert that will cover the 75%.
POWER STAGE At Merzouga we like the show, last year we introduced the Le Mans start for the GP of the Dunes. This year we will also have a timed section that will award the fastest rider of that section, by wearing a green fluorescent bib the following day.
RALLY 3 this class has been introduced to award those riders that race with a bike up to 250 cc 4 and 2 stroke.
SSV CATEGORY
Special attention will be given to the SSV, with a dedicated committee that will take care of the drivers and co-drivers, supporting from a sporting point of view as well as for the communication to increase the media visibility.
