Nani Roma and his navigator Michel Périn have won the prologue of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge with their MINI All4 Racing but only for less than one second in front of Reinaldo Varela and Gustavo Gugelmin with the Toyota Hilux from Overdrive, both crew stop the clock at 00:02:05 minutes. Just one second later Marek Dabrowski and Jacek Czachor, with another Overdrive Toyota Hilux take the third place.
Fourth place was for the russians Vasilyev and Zhiltsov in front of Eric Van Loon and his codriver Rosegaar from Holland who drive the MINI All4 Racing for the first time. The difference between both MINI is less than one second.
